Bill and Satya, Which Phone Should I buy?

Today I read an article that Bill Gates has a new phone, and it was not an Iphone. It was also not a Windows Phone. Leading me to believe that I am the last of the Windows Phone users. For years I have taken a beating from friends. I am usually the go to guy for tech advice and I get asked all the time which phone to buy. I keep up with them all, my wife is an iphone user, I have had android as my second phone from time to time, and I also have reviewed new products. People are surprised that I do not recommend a windows phone, I am considered a loyalist. The reason I do not recommended Windows Phone is not because I do not like the Windows Phone, I actually love it, but I feel that a phone is an important individual choice. In my world, living in the Microsoft ecosystem, having a Windows Phone made sense. When Nokia first rolled out the Windows Phone, I ordered mine. I was a huge fan of Nokia hardware from its early phones and loved the reliable hardware and software. I was even more excited when Microsoft bought the Nokia Devices division. I was a personal planner user from the old Windows Mobile and HP Ipaq days. I have continued in the ecosystem basically since 1995. But now it seem like everyone, even Microsoft execs are switching. Satya, who I am a huge fan of, understood that old Microsoft would not be able to capture the hearts of the phone buying public. I received every article from my friends that remotely had a headline that Windows Mobile was dead. I think Microsoft understand that Mobile can’t be dead, but it also can’t be the inspiration that the iPhone is either. Mobile will be relegated to businesses using handheld devices, like the ones flight attendants at Delta use to charge you for your double blood mary. Our world is increasing mobile and my hope is that Microsoft is keeping the ecosystem alive internally and will continue to develop it for business users, sadly for me it means no more consumer devices. I will be trying to keep my 735 and 950XL alive as long as possible, then follow Bill into the Windows Android edition.
